Stating that a very important breakthrough has been achieved in the investment incentive system recently, Hisarcýklýoðlu said:

"As you know, we have been saying for years that the incentive system on every platform should be district-based, but there was no result. Mustafa Varank, our Minister, initiated district-based incentives for the first time and led the way by fulfilling a historical work in this field. Pointedly, as in every new system, there may be areas that need revision here, but the important thing was to show this will and take this step. Today, we will consult with our Minister and his team on both forementioned issues and every issue concerning our industry. I would also like to thank our Minister of Industry and Technology for adopting a real sector-friendly working style with its executive vision and structure that emphasizes innovation, and showing that they stand by the real sector in these difficult times."

Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank stated that by the end of the year, the 'Technology-driven Industry Move' program will make calls for mobility, chemistry and medical devices.

Attanding the TOBB Consultation and Evaluation Meeting from the Informatics Valley via videoconference, Minister Varank pointed out the importance of growth under the leadership of the private sector and said that they made efforts to be in consultation with the business world during the fight against Kovid-19.

Drawing attention to the fact that they implemented a district-based incentive system in investment incentives, Varank gave the following information about the regulation:

"We were receiving heavy demands from the field in this direction. We updated the socio-economic development indexes of all our provinces and districts. We made a ranking by taking into account 52 indicators for cities and 32 indicators for districts. Our less developed 263 districts are entitled to receive more support than they are. With the new system, investments to be made in the less developed districts of the cities will benefit from the supports of a sub-region. If these investments are made in the Organized Industrial Zones of that district, they will directly benefit from 2 sub-region incentives. Thus, more investments in relatively disadvantaged districts will be encouraged, employment will increase and economic life will be revived. "

After the speeches, the chamber heads directed their questions to Minister Varank.
